چکیده

The phase transition of the three–dimensional random field Ising model with a discrete (±h) field distribution is investigated by extensive Monte Carlo simulations. Values of the critical exponents for the correlation length, specific heat, susceptibility, disconnected susceptibility and magnetization are determined simultaneously via finite size scaling. While the exponents for the magnetization and disconnected susceptibility are consistent with a first order transition, the specific heat appears to saturate indicating no latent heat. Sample to sample fluctuations of the susceptibilty are consistent with the droplet picture for the transition. PACS numbers: 75.10.H, 05.50, 64.60.C.

Magnetic Properties in a Spin-1 Random Transverse Ising Model on Square Lattice

In this paper we investigate the effect of a random transverse field, distributed according to a trimodal distribution, on the phase diagram and magnetic properties of a two-dimensional lattice (square with z=4),  ferromagnetic Ising system consisting of magnetic atoms with spin-1. This study is done using the effectivefield theory (EFT) with correlations method. The equations are derived using...

S ep 1 99 9 Effective and asymptotic critical exponents of weakly diluted quenched Ising model : 3 d approach versus √ ε – expansion

Effective and asymptotic critical exponents of weakly diluted quenched Ising model: 3d approach versus √ ε–expansion Abstract We present a field-theoretical treatment of the critical behavior of three-dimensional weakly diluted quenched Ising model. To this end we analyse in a replica limit n → 0 5–loop renormalization group functions of the φ 4 –theory with O(n)– symmetric and cubic interactio...

Universality in three dimensional random-field ground states

We investigate the critical behavior of three-dimensional random-field Ising systems with both Gauss and bimodal distribution of random fields and additional the three-dimensional diluted Ising antiferromagnet in an external field. These models are expected to be in the same universality class. We use exact ground-state calculations with an integer optimization algorithm and by a finite-size sc...
